This simple freeware application has two functions, but it does them exceedingly well. It allows you to drag-and-drop programs on your taskbar for quick reorganization, and it extends the feature to the system tray when you hold down the Control key and then drag-and-drop. Although previous versions seemed to have some installation quirks, v2.2 installed absent of any problems. During setup, Taskbar Shuffle gives you the option to install an access point in your Start Menu, but it can also be accessed by right-clicking on its system tray icon.
The Options menu feels lean, except that for what's essentially a one-trick program it's got quite a robust set of choices. You can set it to launch at startup, to show a splash screen at startup so you don't forget it's running, and the system tray icon is optional. You can also have it automatically group similar program icons together under one umbrella button, or set it to group similar apps live side-by-side but never hidden.
Users can also use Taskbar Shuffle to set a middle-click close program feature for the mouse, and even the system tray function key, default to Control, can be altered to one of five others. If you decide not to go with a taskbar replacement dock, Taskbar Shuffle can work wonders for anybody stressed about the chaotic placement of minimized programs in both Windows XP and Vista.

Version: Taskbar Shuffle 2
"Simply Drag & Drop Your Taskbar Items"
Pros: Simple. Perfect. Don't like the order of your programs/folders in the taskbar? With this single purpose program I can drag them with a single click.
Only takes up 4004k of memory for my PC. Sits in the system tray. Option to start up automatically. This is one of the few programs I actually CHOOSE to have start up automatically with Windows XP. Highly recommended.
Cons: The editor review claims it doesn't work with all PCs, it worked fine for me.

Version: Taskbar Shuffle 2
"Perfect. Easy, simple, no bloat, no bundle, no problem!"
Pros: Installs in seconds and works the instant you close the wizard. Works exactly as described with no extra garbage. Perfect example of what a freeware program should be.
Cons: Nothing.

Version: Taskbar Shuffle 2
"Thanks From Creatures Of Habit"
Pros: Yes, we are all creatures of habit. Like email first on the taskbar, media player second, etc. Not only does it work great, but there are no annoyances as with other 'freeware' like ads, registration reminders, memory crashes, etc. Perfect. Thanks Jay.

Version: Taskbar Shuffle 2
Pros: Light, easy on resources. No key combination's to worry about.
Thank you Mr. Elaraj for a streamlined app.
Cons: I just wish it would support multiple monitors. I have three screens and would absolutely love if I could drag to another monitor's taskbar. This program in combination with UltraMon would be a choice setup. I would even *gasp* pay for this feature. :)

Version: Taskbar Shuffle 2
"Oh my gosh, yes! I said this out loud! YES!"
Pros: This is exactly what's wrong with Windows. OTHER people have to go in and correct every one of the hundreds of things that should have been there by win95, and not necessarily well. Fortunately, Jay did a freaking BEAUTIFUL job here. FREAKING YES! THANK YOU!!!!!
