Editors' reviewHere's a screensaver guaranteed to keep your cubemates peeking over the partition. Tahni Deskmate - Sexy Supermodel teases with a whole lineup of scantily clad, miniature cartoon women that promise to shimmy across your desktop when you've dozed off. The demo version only offers one playmate, a red-haired woman named Tahni. The download takes a few minutes, which makes us wonder what else was being installed on our test PC. Tahni Deskmate is innocuous, however. A main-menu screen allows you to choose settings, such as how often the models appear and, if you've loaded the pay version, how many models you get to see. You too can preview other "models" available in the paid version through the main program window; these include not only a koala balancing on a rubber ball, but a shirtless, beer-guzzling man with a pot belly. Taste, obviously, comes in different shapes and sizes. Graphics are decidedly cartoon-like, and sounds are charming and not too intrusive. (In the trial version, Tahni does ask repeatedly for you to "buy her.") Decent amusement for PC jockeys who want to pull an innocent prank or for those seeking a bit of titillating fun, Tahni Deskmate is cute, clean, and, thankfully, easily uninstalled.
Tahni Deskmate is your interactive, animated, virtual girlfriend. She reacts if you touch her or move her around the screen with your mouse. If you leave her alone, she will amuse herself and entertain you in the process.
