This simple utility allows you to adjust the transparency of your Windows taskbar and desktop icons background font, although functions are limited to specific Windows OSes. TP Win Desk uses a basic interface with two check boxes and a single button. To adjust the level of transparency of your taskbar (available only with Windows 2000 and XP) or the desktop icon (available only with Windows 95, 98, NT or Me), click the button to open a slider, which lets you calibrate the amount of transparency that will suit your taste. The taskbar transparency worked well on our XP test machines, but we encountered error messages when we tried to test the desktop icon transparency on Windows 98 test machines. Although it's free, TP Win Desk has limited functionality that puts it out of serious contention as a robust transparency application.Publisher's description
From Magnonic Software :TP Win Desk, short for Transparent Windows Desktop, allows users to select a level of transparency for the Windows Start Menu Taskbar (Windows XP, Windows 2K & Windows 2003) to make windows and the Desktop Wallpaper show through the Taskbar.
