Publisher's description
From Ilient :SysAid is software for organizations' IT (Information Technology) departments. It provides asset management, automatically scanning the organization's network and listing its machines. SysAid provides details on each machine (its hardware, software, history), and lets you remote control it. SysAid also provides help desk, letting end users use forms to submit service requests (error reports or calls for assistance). Version 3.0.3 has added a new look to the end user and login pages (plus the ability to redesign them), and a new "Company" object for managing separate clients. Several bugs have also been fixed.
Note: The free version supports two administrators and up to 100 users. If you require larger capabilities, please refer to the developer's website for pricing information.

Version: SysAid Help Desk and Inventory 3.0.3
"Good For Corporate, Not So Good for Home!"
Pros: Provides heaps of features for Network Administrators and users. Capible of retrieving system info about computers on your network. All this is a great deal for the best price of all, $0.
Cons: Quite complex to install and run when running on PC that does not play host to a local network mail server. Only recommended for experienced computer and server experience/s.

Version: SysAid Help Desk and Inventory 3.0.3
"Incredible Product in its class"
Pros: Having tried a few alternative products whilst analysing Helpdesk & Support scenarios for a college setup, I personally found SysAid easy to setup maintain and was also very low on system resources, which was a problem with a few of the alternatives we tested.
It's not really for "home use" as it's suited to small to larger networks who's users require technical support, making it ideal for a college or small business. The free version supports up to 100 client workstations and up to two admin seats, so even the free version can handle a proper small commercial environment. There are also remote control facilities available, which some of the similarly ranged products don't incorporate, which I found very useful. Anyone familiar with UltraVNC will feel at home with the customised version built into the SysAid tools.
All in all an excellent product and the fact the free version gives so many features together with the email support they provided (they kept checking to see how we were progressing or had any problems) is a real credit to Ilient.
Cons: I personally preferred the way that one of the alternative Help Desk solutions (AdventNet's ServiceDesk Plus 5) implemented the FAQ creation, but SysAid also included their own version of it to enable this facility. ServiceDesk Plus 5 unfortunately was not as resource friendly on our setup as SysAid, but was very polished looking plus had some excellent features too. For us, it was a choice between the two due to pricing and seamless system integration - with SysAid winning out.

Version: SysAid Help Desk and Inventory 3.0.3
"Awsome Inventory Product, saved me a lot of legwork."
Pros: Everything! This is one of those products that you wished you had a long time ago. Asset inventory is probably my favorite part of this program. Initial setup is a breeze as is the deployment feature. And if you maintain 1-99 machines you can't beat the price.

Version: SysAid Help Desk and Inventory 3.0.3
"Feature packed, fully functional"
Pros: Very easy to set up, easier to use. highly configurable.
The email integration feature is brilliant, meaning our users only need to send an email to an address we've set up for the purpose and the fault is logged automatically.
Cons: Only a minor cosmetic thing: When adding notes to a SR, it does not automatically put a line break or anything to easily distinguish where one entry finishes and the next begins.
Still learning how to use the program, but having trouble working out how to get the reports to pull the data i actually need.

Version: SysAid Help Desk and Inventory 3.0.3
"One of the best management applications I have ever used."
Pros: Easy to seyup and deploy. Easy to customize. I had it up and running and began using it within an hour.
Cons: VERY tired interface. I wish it had better support for style sheets to give it a cleaner more customized look.
