Sure Cuts A Lot for Windows is a program that you can with Cricut Personal and Cricut Expression die cut machines to cut shapes and letters made with True Type fonts.
Sure Cuts A Lot for Windows has a stylish interface that features a self-healing mat as the background. We entered some sample text into the program and found that you can change the text size by clicking and dragging one of the corners of the bounding box, as you can with most page-layout and shape-drawing programs. Sure Cuts A Lot for Windows has some common shapes built into the menu, and a feature called "Welding" allows users to create new shapes out of overlapping shapes. You can import SVG files, a handy feature for users who use other software to create graphics. You can save your files and you can activate your Cricut machine with the "Cut" button through the program's menus. There is not a way to print or Export artwork created with Sure Cuts A Lot for Windows, but that might be asking for too much, since the program was designed to be used with Cricut machines.
Sure Cuts A Lot for Windows has a good Help file that includes instructions on how to use the program as well as how to hook up your Cricut machine to your computer. The program does leave a watermark on your artwork during the trial. For users who have Cricut Personal and Cricut Expression die cut machines, Sure Cuts A Lot for Windows is a useful tool.

Can use any true-type font, can make your own die-cuts, easy to make the project the exact size you need. Lots of tutorials available.
Cons
Can be tricky getting the workspace organized.
Summary
The ability of SCAL to use any true-type font makes the program incredibly versatile. You can manipulate the fonts on the workspace to see exactly how they will look. You can add special effects, such as welding letters, adding shadow, and cutting on a slant. The program is easy to figure out and there are many tutorials available to help you create what you want.

No con to the software, but I do wish the download was more of a trial version that really showed what you could cut and did not have lines through it. This would make me more sure before I purchase full license.

Pros
Costs the same as a single Cricut cartridge. Cut with regular fonts you already have on your computer, or download thosands more for free on the internet. Developer is constanly releasing free updates to improve product.
Cons
Images you want to cut must be in SVG file format. Not a big deal as there are programs that will convert your existing artwork to SVG.

You can find it cheaper. Just Google "sure cuts a lot".

You can use any ttp fonts as long as it is downloaded to your computer. Also you can use the dingbats [shapes]
Cons
I had to download the upgrade to my cricut before i could use it and you have to have a cartridge in to use this program.You do have to buy the special usb a/b cord also.
