CNET Editors' review
There are image editors available for users of every skill level, from teens who just want to add some bling to professional photographers who have heavy-duty work to do. SunlitGreen PhotoEdit is a simple program designed for users who have a little bit of photographic knowledge but aren't quite ready for some of the more sophisticated, full-featured program. It delivers basic image correction tools without a lot of fuss.
The program's interface is plain and intuitive, with a handful of buttons across the top and the rest of the features arranged in menus. All the typical features are here: users can crop, rotate, resize, and duplicate images, as well as adjust levels, contrast and brightness, color balance, and hue and saturation. The program also features auto levels and auto contrast options for quick fixes without a lot of fiddling. There are filters to blur and sharpen images, but unlike many programs of this sort, SunlitGreen PhotoEdit doesn't offer any special effects; this is definitely not a program for those who want to get playful or artsy. Also, it doesn't have cloning or retouching tools. The program's built-in Help file is brief but adequate. Overall, SunlitGreen PhotoEdit is pretty bare bones, and it will likely disappoint users who are looking to do serious image correction or to have fun with their photos. But for basic image adjustments in a lightweight package, this program is just fine.
SunlitGreen PhotoEdit installs and uninstalls without issues. We recommend this program to all users.

"Good enough for free."
Version: SunlitGreen Photo Editor 1.3.0.1272
Pros
Very small package.
Cons
This program appears to still be in Beta--it updates every two to three days, sometimes every day. if not for this I would give it an extra star.

"Using VersionTracker as advertising"
Version: SunlitGreen Photo Editor 1.3.0.1182
Pros
Have not used it.
Cons
Tese guys update their product line every day.
Summary
I have noticed this line of software being updated at least several times a week for quite some time now. They have updated this one (the editor) every day this year. I can think of two reasons they might do this:
1. The product is so buggy that the developers are constantly fixing bugs, or;
2. They are using VersionTracker to advertise the product and don't actually change anything in the software besides the version number and release date.
Either of these gives me pause about this particular software. -
"It's simple"
Version: SunlitGreen Photo Editor 1.3.0.1154
Pros
It doesn't take a great mind to understand
Cons
None bearing in mind it is a simple programme
Summary
I use Picasa which is free and that covers far more but don't dismiss this programme

"Excellent light-weight photo viewer and editor"
Version: SunlitGreen Photo Editor 1.3 build 779
Pros
Easy and simple to use even for a new user.
Cons
Doesn't support advance editing but does an excellent job with basic touch ups.
Summary
An excellent software for fast viewing and editing photos. Images load much faster than Microsoft's default image view and MS paint.

"I found this product of no use to me."
Version: SunlitGreen Photo Editor 1.3 build 615
Pros
In the short time I had it on my computer I could find no pros.
Cons
The free edition is of no benefit whatsoever. All editing tools are locked and cannot be saved.
Summary
It is pointless offering a free download without at least a trial period. If I wanted to buy a pig in a poke, I would have bought the full version.

"Simple & Lightweight Program for Enhancing your Images"
Version: SunlitGreen Photo Editor 1.3 build 397
Pros
Good optimization results from Auto levels feature; lightweight; portable version available
Cons
no support for layers; no plug-ins
Summary
This is a simple program only for optimizing images, thanks to its basic tools such as brightness, contrast, color balance & saturation adjustments. The Auto levels feature produces above average results. The program is also lightweight, leaving small footprint on the hard drive space & RAM and has an almost instantaneous start-up time. Sadly without support for layers and additional plug-ins, this program is not a powerful photo editor.

"Fast and does what I need"
Version: SunlitGreen Photo Editor 1.1 build 992
Pros
This program has all the features for picture correction: color enchantment, resizing and rotation, sharpness changing, without any unnecessary tools to draw. Probably that's why it starts and performs operations rather quickly. I also liked the interface which is easy-to-use and good-looking.
Cons
The price is rather high, so I had to register it using a disassembler.
