From Jampaq Software :This app generates unlimited standard 9x9 puzzles quickly and easily from one of five difficulty levels. Creates proper SuDoku one-solution puzzles. Enter in your own puzzles as well using the custom SuDoku game mode. Fully functional built-in puzzle solver. Full support for 'pencil marks' in either a manual entry mode, or automatic mode created by the program. Also allows you to perform crosshatching on any number on the playfield. Load/save feature to save and name your game states.
Import/export puzzles to the built-in memo pad program to save or beam to friends. High-score is kept for best moves and best time for each of the difficulty levels. Crips and clean graphics, plus audio notifications for incorrect moves and puzzle completion. Built-in puzzle checker to see if you're on the right track to solving a puzzle. Customizable background images, as well as changing number outline color.
Version 3.9 fixes issue with some Sony devices, not going into hi-resolution mode.

Version: Sudoku (Numberz) 3.9
"Easy to use, with every feature you need. Excellent!"
Pros: I've tried a number of online Sudoku games, and one handheld version (non-Palm), and this is by far the easiest, most full-featured version. Most importantly, I have not run into the problem of more than one possible solution, which is a serious problem with poorly-programmed games (the non-Palm handheld I bought and later returned had that defect). This program has a button you can push to check whether a solution exists -- particularly if you enter your own puzzle -- or to tell you if you've made mistakes)
The interface for Numberz is easy -- you can enter numbers in using your numberpad (I have a Palmphone, so this is a great option), or just use your stylus to select the number you want to use. Double-tap to enter the number as a pencil marking to help you keep track of possible numbers for a box. There are several levels for deleting bad entries -- one at a time, all incorrect numbers, or start over. Another nice feature is "cross-hatching" -- this allows you to see, easily, what boxes are available for any one number. Customizing is possible as well -- change the color of the numbers or the background. Beats the pants off plain black and white for style and readability.
There are several levels of difficulty, and it's easy to import your own puzzles to solve. You can save games and reload them later to solve, or for beaming to others.
Wonderful program for Sudoku lovers!
Cons: Maybe the numbers shown alongside the puzzle should be greyed out when you've placed all of a particular number (i.e., when you have entered all 9 1's). This was the only feature I enjoyed in another version that was missing here! Otherwise, no complaints!
