From Igor Vigdorchik :The Sticky Notes application allows you to create electronic sticky notes directly on your Windows desktop. The Sticky Notes are just like paper post-it notes for your computer. Jot down tasks, messages, ideas, appointments, phone numbers, birthdays in a note and stick it on the desktop. A note can be positioned anywhere you wish, or hidden in your task bar, then searched and displayed later. Notes can be resized. The note's contents can be formatted to include fonts, colors, transparency and hyperlinks. Also notes have a click thru capability. Once on screen, notes will remain where placed until closed, even through reboots. Alarms can be added to a note to act as a reminder. Sticky Notes application is small and simple and all notes are kept in the text file. It does not use the registry.
Version 2.05 features new search/alarm manager window, hide/show all notes, rollup/rolldown all notes.

Version: Sticky Notes 2.05
Pros: It worked well at the start and then I got these errors. Data file empty, application can not run, please delete data file. Any help here would be great.
Cons: I liked the program when it worked.

"okay program until I discovered it lacks a backup/restore feature"
Pros: In the beginning it worked just as the description claimed but then......
Cons: The application stopped loading and gave error message "data file empty application will not run delete data file". After contacting the publisher, I was told where to find this "data file" in order to delete it and after doing so the application began loading however I became HORRIFIED to read in the publisherâ??s response that ALL my notes were basically now LOST and when the application started running true to the publisherâ??s response ALL OF MY NOTES HAD BEEN PERMENATLEY DELETED!!!!!! After I finish typing this I am going to uninstall this program and download a similar program from a DIFFERENT publisher--I AM VERY UPSET THAT ALL THE NOTES I HAD TYPED SINCE USING THE APPLICATION WERE BASICALLY DELTED!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Had I know the program lacked a backup feature I would NOT have downloaded it to begin with and even though the publisher has a newer beta version that has the backup feature I have no interest in downloading it for obvious reasons.......

Pros: In one word it is "Simple".
Transparency is a very good option and I've found it not annoying like others.
Cons: The "Set Title option" is hard to be found from the first look. I suggest that it could be done by a single click on the form caption.

Pros: I've tried the top 5 sticky programs including 3M's officially bloated 'Post it' notes) & this version surpasses them all.
I had stopped using the program only because like cpdboyscouts review, I also received the error "Data file empty, application can not run".
After several months, I was missing the program and went to the developers website to search for the fix? I emailed the programmer Igor, who to my surprise replied with the solution very promptly.
Here is the fix: Use Windows explorer's advanced (for Vista users) search for *_notes.dat type it exactly as noted. Search ALL drives in case you have a recovery partition. Search should find a file (your user name or admin _notes.dat). The file has somehow become corrupt... delete it.
Next time you run the program it will create a new dat file.
Great program. Great customer service... and it's free. Download it.
Cons: Wish list, not a complaint. Would be great if the reminder was audible and a visual alert.

Pros: The notes were great. They were exactly what I was looking for.
Cons: The application disappeared after my computer was restarted. Now I can't find it. I don't see the application in Control Panel>Programs & Features or in the Programs list on the Start Menu.
