Taking a cue from real-world Post-it notes, Stick provides an equivalent product for your computer desktop. A few differences make the program a valuable asset for any PC. The most noticeable is that notes, when closed, turn into tabs you can then append to the sides of your screen. This makes keeping your desktop tidy a snap. In addition to basic text notes, you also can create Explorer notes, which are actual Windows Explorer windows. You can navigate the file system from within these or even use them for Web browsing.
Each note features a variety of customization options such as window color, transparency, autohiding, and font choices. Though it does lack a few features of the more advanced sticky-note apps, we recommend Stick for its ease of use and excellent implementation of tabs.

From iWonder Designs :Organize your desktop using screen tabs to access the Web, browse your hard drive or network, take notes and monitor RSS feeds. With Stick you can do all these things with easy-to-use but out-of-the-way tabs that dock to the sides of your screen. You can also browse a simple calendar and the QuickLaunch feature automatically searches your drive for applications that can then be found quickly just by typing a few letters of the app's name.
Version 2.6.1.1 adds setting to explorer tab allowing the user to reset the toolbar positions(requires restart), calculator plug-in, Arabic numeral numbering to note tabs, left, right, center justification support to note tabs.

Version: Stick 2.6.1.1
"Very good Idea & a great start too.!"
Pros: I've always dreaded going through the Program Files listings and don't like having my desktop always covered with icons. Stick allows me to place a few tabs across the top/side/bottom of my screen and fill 'em up with the shortcuts I want handy. It is surprisingly flexible though and has been more stable than some of the other 'tab' utilities I've tried previously.
Cons: I wish that I could select the background color because I'm not a bright white fan, being a migraine sufferer. I would also like it to be aware of and use the same skin that I've got going via windowblinds from Stardock.

"i love it for "honey-do" lists & reminders"
Pros: simple-easy 2 use-uncluttered
Cons: nothing at all- i think it's a real boon to people like me, who tend to be forgetful!
Summary: it works! no nonsense, errors or other bothersome problems-it's idiot proof and it helps me get through so many things i tend 2 forget-(no short-term memory) i love stick!!!
