From Star Downloader :Star Downloader is a download manager that accelerates your downloads by splitting the files into several parts and downloading them simultaneously. Download speeds are increased further by choosing the fastest mirror sites. You may automatically resume broken downloads if your connection is lost or if your computer accidentally shuts down. With the scheduler, you can download files at certain times of the day. Star Downloader may also automatically connect to your ISP and hang-up upon completion of downloads.
To help you organize and manage your downloads there is an advanced category system and an integrated unzipping utility can automatically unzip and install downloaded files. Star Downloader also integrates with your antivirus program to scan downloaded files. Star Downloader supports FTP and HTTP. Proxy is also supported.

"Dear developers, do you use this product? This product works very not stably."
Pros: Good interface
Cons: Gets not all files correctly.
Some links does not process.
Many restarts and errors.

Pros: One of the longest searches of my life is finally over...
I was looking for these things in a download manager:
Free! (And no spyware or adware either)
Good download speeds, and constant good speeds too.
This program seems to have it all. The download speeds were great, browser integration was awesome (as previously said, almost TOO good) and it works!
If this is only the free version, I might actually consider buying the full version IT IS THAT GOOD!
Cons: Setting up browser integration for non-IE browsers was a bit confusing at first, but still not too much of a hassle.

Dima_R which gives all download managers 1 is absolutelly uncompetent and seems never tries them at all.

Pros: Nice integration, very quick loading and minimal freezing or program errors. Good appearance with buttons and options okay to understand.
Cons: For 50% of downloads that I know full well to be working with all other ways of downloading it has a cannot find server or file type error message and you can't even begin the download. No difference in speed for me either.

"excellent, robust,fast,segmented downloading, small memory footprint"
Pros: uses segmented downloading, and is very simple, takes up next to no cpu an dmemory, I run it comfortably on a pentium I 166MHz 128MB EDO-SDRAM!! CERTIFIED ZERO SPYWARE AND ZERO ADWARE. NO HIDDEN STUFF. try it out yourself - use spybot, spyware doctor, adaware, webroot and whatever else. I use a limited speed -40kbps connection which cant get faster by definition, given that, this tool is robust, never crashes, never loses urls, is stable and gets all that I can get out of my connection( full 40kbps). A must have for everyone.
Cons: auto matic mirror searching is absent
