Summary
Its hard to choose antivirus nowdays, but Spyware Terminator is a good choice. Its reliable, I don't have problem with viruses ever since I installed it. It got daily database updates, some other very usefull tools and very friendly UI.

It installs its self and dubs people into believing they are infected ........ nags to buy the program ..it doesnt do anything unless you buy the program..... malwarebytes and super antispyware and spy bot search and destroy needed to get rid of it........ and that is after you use the uninstall feature.
Summary
The premise of a site like CNET is to be able to get software that wont harm your computer a trustworthy site. If CNET allows this kind of crap on this site without checking it out first then my opinion of CNET has gone down the tubes and I will tell people not to trust any software from this site because it is not trustworthy

Few, if any, other than it's free.
Cons
Poor detection; must be set up very carefully or it will really screw with your system ( beware the HIPS setting - it works poorly, does not remember responses, and is best left to your firewall anyway.) Real-time protection is a good idea, in theory, but this program slows down your system and tends to be overly intrusive.
Summary
I tried this program a couple of years ago, and it doesn't seem to have been improved at all. In addition to missing adware another of my programs caught, it's nag screens drove me crazy.(Can you say overly aggressive marketing?) The full scan was so quick it made me wonder if it checked anything on my computer at all. A lot of the free programs I use have ads, but they don't bother me much. This one goes over the line, however. (It also makes me suspicious of all the positive reviews I see here.) If you need a good anti-spyware program, you're better off with SuperAntispyware or Spybot S&D IMHO.

No auto updates for free version. Slows down PC when real time protection is turned on. Some features are off on free version.
Summary
I use it for scanning and removing spyware and malware but I don't use the real protection since it slows down my PC. Overall, this is a good product and I never had problems with it so I'll keep using it.
I hope guys at Spyware Terminator can make a portable version so I can use it on my customers PC without installing it.

An updatable version would be great since downloading a new portable version instead of updating its anti-spyware definitions is really a frustrating. -
