- ugly installation process; is it too difficult to create a good-looking installer????
- cool features? where??? setting up brightness and contrast are not cool at all!
- no effects!
- video movies cropping works incorrectlySummary
I became too sad while using this software. It doesn't give positive emotions for me. I will continue using Manycam and Webcammax.

Split Cam is a very easy use software where you can use your webcam in more than one application.But to get the full benefits of Split Cam you need to install all of the drivers. Well,this download will install both Split Cam and all of the drivers.
Cons
Not a lot but it only takes photos does not videos. To do that you have to go online to You Tube or another video site to record videos directly from the video site.
Summary
Split cam is a very simple but fun tool to have on your computer or laptop or in my case,Netbook.This is an older program that has not been updated since 2008.There are several downloads for Split Cam and there is another one here on this site.But although the other one installs the driver on Windows 7,it does not install the addition drivers needed to get the full benefit. What is the difference between this installation and the other shorter install. Well,the other one installs Split Cam and the driver on Windows 7,which is what I have.And it will install the snapshot manager. But I found that I did not get the full features on the other install until I installed this,the full Split Cam package. On the other install,that also installed a toolbar and auto complete,which you can remove. But this installation here does not install the toolbar. Just Split Cam and all of the drivers and software needed to run it.Split Cam lets you use your webcam on more than one video site. I tried it on You Tube and Dailymotion bothat the same time but on different web browsers and it worked. You can also use it invideo chats like ICQ but you must run Split Cam while you do this but you can run it minimized to the task bar. And then turn on your video chat messenger. Split Cam takes and saves pictures and will save them on your computer. But not videos,for that you have to go directly onto the video sharing site and record there. Although it will open up any saved MPEG files on your computer and play them in Split Cam. And you can add a pink or blue tint to your image or video with the color bar.It will also take a close up photo of your computer desktop,some thing you cannot do with just the webcam,as close ups are not so good. So you can use Split cam on Windows 7. And I advise Windows 7 users to download Split Cam from the above link not the shorter download to get the full benefits.Split Cam is not perfect and is only a basic tool but it is free to use.You do not have to pay for it. This is the old version of Splitcam. The New version - Splicam 5 only came out a few days ago. But unfortunently the new version does not record videos with sound. And when I wrote to them on the Splitcam forum,they said they are trying to fix this problem. But as I and most people cannot wait maybe months until they do. I have not upgraded and I am still using this,the old version of Splitcam. Although you can't record videos with this,at least everything here is working. In fact if the new version could not play videos,they never should have put it out yet,until this was sorted out. So anyone who has problems or is unhappy with the new version of Splitcam,can download this the old version here. I will not be using the new version anytime soon. I am staying with this version here-Splitcam 3. Andrea Borman.

it just works :D now i could share videos on the web and images while chatting....no need for file transfers...people on the other end of the chat could views the images and videos immediately no need for file transfers or downloading
