This wallpaper and screensaver hybrid gets points for ingenuity and points for effect as photorealistic snowfall dots your desktop. You'll find SnowFall Living Desktop listed in the screensaver tab of your display menu. Yet you tweak the settings from the icon that's active in your task tray. Select from of of eleven frosty backgrounds, then adjust wind speed to create a light snowfall or blustery conditions. Then, sit back and enjoy the powder drifting onto your desktop.

Version: SnowFall Living Desktop 1.1
Pros: Can use background of choice...real-time snow adds a realistic touch to any winter wallpaper. Has settings for just about everything, including processor usage mode(i.e. "real-time") and framerate. A must have.
Cons: Can't really blame it for using memory resources(5-10MB in 1024x768@40fps)...Yahoo Messenger uses about 2-4 times more
