"Simple updates ok (maybe), but terrible otherwise >:("

Easy to see what needs updating. Simple updates went smoothly. Easy to create a Restore Point.
Cons
Tech support lied to me, claiming that only the paid version would allow any updates, and so refused to help unless I bought their program.
Messed up a two-step update.Summary
I used this to process two driver updates and they went fine. The third one -- for my soundcard -- was more complex, and required that I uninstall an old driver, reboot, install the new driver, then reboot again (that's not this program's fault, of course). So that's what I tried to do.
I saved the transcription of my chat with their tech support. Here are two quotes from "Thomas":
Except that after the first reboot, SlimDrivers didn't know anything about the new driver. It didn't prompt me to install it, nor did it recognize that any driver was even needed! So clearly the program has its limitations and bugs ....
No problem, I thought. I'll just check their tech support. I began a Live Chat which became a bizarre struggle to be understood (English was clearly not the first language of the "Wendy" or "Thomas" who participated in the chat).
What's worse, the tech expert "Thomas" repeatedly insisted that none of my drivers would update unless I paid the thirty bucks for the full program -- which is simply not true!! -- and that he could give me no help if I didn't pay.
I understand that they may not choose to help a user of the free version of their program -- though a simple "I'm sorry, but for two-step driver updates you need to do it yourself" would have sufficed -- but the pressure tactics, combined with the outright lie (or was it just incompetence?) that nothing would get updated in the free version ... well that's just ridiculous.
So I have no faith in this company -- Slim Utilities -- and even though their program may work well for simple updates, I will never use any of their products again. USE AT YOUR OWN RISK.

Ease of installation. The drivers I would like to have updated would have required purchasing a program were installed free of charge

Five of the twenty four drivers that needed to be updated were older than the ones on my computer. No doubt the database just needs to be updated. This will come in time. Not sure whether it updates non Microsoft products.
Summary
Very user friendly. Options to scan for update easy to set as well as establishing restore points. If this application updates non Microsoft products, Slim Drivers will be quite successful.
