"This is adware not software"

Well it used to be okay, so that is all it really has going for it. Other than that.. see below.
Cons
I have been downloading from CNET for years. I joined just so I could write this review. Skype Translate is one of the worst pieces of software I have ever encountered. If there a was book that was titled "WHAT SOFTWARE SHOULD NOT DO", the screenshot from this review would be on the cover.
The worst thing about this horrific piece of "software" is that it is filled with deception. If you install it then you will get horrible ads and adware toolbars installed into your browser. Some of the names are: WhiteSmoke, Babylon and Gamevance.
They watch your computer and basically sell your intent to the highest bidder.
I paid $170 to GeekSquad to figure out why my computer was a mess and they tracked it down to this software. They even showed me what it does with a Web Packet Trace tool called Fiddler.
It's hard to believe that good software can go really bad. But man, I saw it with this, and it's awful. -

- Easy to install

- Installs a number of unwanted adware and toolbars
- lots of ads popup while you use this (one of them infected my machine with a driveby exploit!)
- unreliable. this app uses the Bing Translate API which has expired. 7/10 times this could not translate anything for me. I just kept getting QUOTA EXCEEDED messages -

Cons
Step 2 - uses the typical "I accept" format to install Coupon Companion. you can select not.
That finished download. Eset blocks an attempt to access website (not me)
tries to install IB MyStart search engine. and IncrediBar (unchecked these)
Pop up says it wants to load incredibar (click cancel) continues to installation screen
Quick install wants to install Somoto and change my search engine
while custom install lets you uncheck these
Then it fails install. Go figure
