Publisher's Description
From 2100 Software:
Shortcut Tray helps you store and manage files and links, and comes with several built-in goodies, including a desktop clock, processes watcher (and the ability to quit then), a "What's my IP address?" dialog, and a built in email send facility. Plus you can download files via HTTP within Shortcut Tray, which uses next to no memory, and saves you opening a big slow web browser to do the exact same thing. But the main purpose is to help manage files and links. The main palette has two lists, which can be resized as you wish, and into which you can store all manner of items. There's also the QuickLaunch field, into which you can type in a file path or internet link, and have the appropriate program open it (typing in "hotline://www.hotlinesw.com", for instance, will open your Hotline client and go to that server!). Also supported is floating palettes, like DragThing and so forth, in which you can store files and links. These floating palettes are saved to individual files, so you can easily take them with you as you copy across files, and this allows for easy management of palettes.
What's new in this version: This latest dev fixes *lots* of bugs in previous versions, which have now been removed from circulation. It is still a dev, however, and is not finished. However, the HTTP component is nearly fully-implemented, and certainly bug-free so far as we know, and is a great solution for those that have to put up with Netscape's tendancy to close file transfers prematurely if it gets 'bored'.
