This program adds numerous shell extensions to your context menu, but doesn't feature a strong help function. Managing tools with ShellToys XP's functional interface is a simple matter of choosing tools to enable. Right-click your desktop, and an improved context menu offers a suite of powerful yet easy-to-use shell extensions, including those to change file extensions, perform search and replace, undelete, create a context menu shortcut to frequently accessed folders, synchronize, and zip folders, among others. You can easily assign hot keys or opt to detach certain tools from the context menu. The content of the context menu depends on the type of file you've chosen. For example, right-click an image file, and the context menu offer additional options such as shred, split, encrypt, and preview functions. ShellToys XP also performs select shutdown operations. We found the help file threadbare, though, and some fucntions must be tried to fully understand their operation. This 30-day trial program's large collection of shell extensions eliminates the need for downloading many discrete shell programs.

ShellToys XP is a suite of 27 shell extensions for Windows adding powerful new features to the context menu for files, folders, windows and dialogs. Right-click a single file to encrypt, decrypt, shred or split it, change its extension, date or attributes. Image files display a preview right on the menu, zip files display contents for easy extraction of one or more files. Right-click a folder to view or print its contents, browse and print images, or open a command prompt.

Version 6.3.1 may include unspecified updates, enhancements, or bug fixes.
