Although the bigger names in the P2P world still maintain the lion's share of users, several smaller entities have popped up. These programs appeal to those fed up with the fluff and third-party software often found in the more popular applications.Shareaza is focused and lean, with a gorgeous interface and connections to the Gnutella2, Gnutella, eDonkey, and BitTorrent networks. It's also handsome and easy to use; we had no trouble quickly figuring out how to search, check our network status, and customize the interface through a healthy choice of skins. Search results were extremely fast, although we wish each new search automatically spawned a new tab. Shareaza also has a decent built-in media player for common audio and video formats. Other features include a chat client and the ability to schedule transfers.
The file-management system, with a slew of folders divided and subdivided into all sorts of categories, may overwhelm novices, though seasoned file-sharers probably won't have that much trouble. Overall, though, Shareaza's design, performance, and trim size provide make it a nice choice for peer-to-peer users.

Shareaza can manage your download queue automatically, or you can take charge and modify the status of files or even individual physical transfers and sources.
Version 2.2.5 has multiple fixes on all supported networks, providing vastly improved multi-network, peer-to-peer file-sharing capabilities. There also are several new features, including a scheduler, a review viewer, enhanced translations, and improved metadata support. Help facilities and documentation have been improved to make the application easier to use.

"It's a good program when it works, but far from the best."
Pros: I like the fact it connects to eDonkey, G2, and G1 networks, which helps you find rare files as well as more sources. For the most part I like how you organize your searches by selecting bitrate size, etc to the top, then bottom, or vice-versa.
Cons: It's a good program when it works, but it has problems with firewalled connections. It's understandable with Windows SP2 firewall, because the firewall limits yours connections by default, but when it comes to free firewalls, and routers it doesn't seem to do so well. It giving me a warning that my connection is firewalled, so I went to my router, setup Shareaza to allow access. The annoying warning screen stopped popping up, but for some reason not all networks seem to want to connect. G1 won't connect, while the other two do. Then I disconnect, and reconnect, this time G2 won't connect, but the other two do. It will randomly disconnect as well. I don't understand it, and Shareaza developers seem to be vending only their latest beta versions. The file organizer found in Shareaza is terrible, and unneccessary. Just view your shared folders. Simple right? Shareaza instead gives you like a 100 folders to choose from, and you find your files in one of them.

Pros: I put 5 stars cause it is the best one I have tried an I have tried just about all of them an this one gives me the files I want has great games an movies an songs an no popups or any crappy stuff on it from the program itself I love it, it is NO1 to me. it does not ask to upgrade or to buy it either:).
Cons: none at all love this program!

Pros: It connects to a lot of users if you configure the settings. The interface is nice and easy. Has no Legal-illegal crapt. Connects to Gi, G2, Edonkey... Connects pretty fast. Search results is good. Download speeds are so-so. Gives you the oppurtunity to share/unshare.
Cons: Barely downloads anything, and by barely I mean barely!
