Version: ShareO for Outlook 2.21.0079
Pros: Simple interface and setup for such as a complex program; useful assortment of many sharing and synchronizing options. Instant sharing and synchronizing. Stable. No server or Exchange server needed. Easy updates (manual or automatic send/receive). Subscription type synchronization. Works directly with MAPI. Sharing/synchronizing between different Outlook versions. Custom forms sharing. Sharing using only email. Sharing attachments and documents. Special folders' filters and views. Sharing filters (private, by category, etc). Compressing before send updates. Extensive online and printable help documentation. Excellent Live Chat and e-mail support. Great performance. Free 1 year updates (I've counted 7 according to the company's website). Company is 6 years in software business. Phone Sales person. The price very reasonable.
I've rated it 5 stars because there is no real competitor yet for such a functionality and not only because of price. Great product for personal and small business use. I think that a large companies can buy this product to avoid time-money deployment and administration of Exchange and file-servers for simple documents sharing, synchronization of calendars, contacts, and other Outlook folders. Anyways, try it first.
Cons: No peer to peer. No central server (Support told me that in the January release, you can add server functionality and in 1Q web access). Large pst files and large folders require time to prepare and send updates. If you plan and share massive data make sure that your email provider allows large email attachments (for example if you are allowed to send a max of 10 Mb attachments, you can share contacts' folder with no more than 2000-5000 contacts in it. Price for personal use (sync 2 pc - 2 license) is a little bit high, but you can discuss it with sales, as I do. No phone support.

Version: ShareO for Outlook 2.21.0079
"I am now RETYPING 2,000 Contacts ShareO messed up!"
Pros: This ruined my outlook contacts - I now have so many duplicates, it shifted the numbers and the names so now they all have the wrong information and here is what customer service had to offer me....
Cons: Jenni: I set it up on my computer and my supervisors now our outlook contacts are all messed up lots of duplicates...seems like some of the information shifted so names have wrong numbers, j
Arthur: oh, I see. How many machines are involved in sharing?
Jenni: three - one used as a "SERVER", my workstation and my supervisors workstation
Arthur: ok, I will give you the steps how to fix this issue:
Jenni: WONDERFUL!
Arthur: hold a second
Arthur: 3. Close Outlook and rename ShareO folder to ShareO_bak in MyDocuments on all computers. All your folders will remain.
Arthur: 4. Restart Outlook and remove all duplicates on all computers.
Arthur: 5. Start Outlook and click OK for every pop-up window in order to create new database.
Jenni: That is going to be SO MUCH WORK! I might as well just retype the database from scratch.
Jenni: Why do my contacts now have wrong number?
Arthur: Thank you for waiting. I'll be with you in just a moment.
Arthur: it seems you or other shared users have performed illegal actions.
Jenni: what is that supposed to mean?
Arthur: it seems you and other users started sharing the same folder from all PCs.
Jenni: its a shared folder on our network, why is that illegal action and why would that mess up our database?
Jenni: Hello???
Arthur: I'm sorry for the delay. I'll be right with you.
Arthur: sorry for delay. ShareO does't create duplicate items by itself. Could you explain in detail what action after the duplicates occurred?
Jenni: It did create duplicate files - and you still didnt answer what illegal actions were. Frankly I dont appreciate being accused of it. I think that this is not a good product at all and now thanks to you I will have to re-do 2000 contacts in my database
Arthur: We apologize for inconvenience.
