Version: SeaMonkey 1.1.4
Pros: I have been using SeaMonkey since last year when it was first released as I like all my Internet applications in the one neat package, I have performed several test & SeaMonkey is faster than Firefox & it's not as system hungry. The security level of the browser is the same as Firefox & there are many extensions & themes available.
SeaMonkey 2 should be even better with the suiterunner extensions manager & a new look default theme.
Cons: I guess the only thing I don't like is the lack of RSS support or Live bookmarks, I tried a couple of extensions like this for SeaMonkey but it slowed the browser speed down a bit so I'm using a different program for my RSS feeds.

Version: SeaMonkey 1.1.4
Pros: SeaMonkey 1.1.5 --- I use this suite for my main internet browsing and email. Very convenient and speedy Gecko based suite. The email app that is part of SeaMonkey is wonderful. It provides tagging, filtering for junk mail. Easily configured for pop accounts. I have not had any problems with this software in that last year (when I first started using it). Some preferences can be configured using 'about:config' ----- like Firefox. I prefer browser icons, and this can be user set by setting the 'load browser icons' value to '2'. I prefer separate pop up windows instead of the pop up opening another tab, this can be changed by setting the 'new window restriction' value to '2' --- along with setting the preferences in the main menu to open pop ups in a new tab. Just a small example of customization.
Mozilla does have a helpful forum for SeaMonkey users. This is a very convenient suite for anyone who likes the all in one approach. During installation, I went the 'custom' route and installed only the mail and newsgroups along with the spellchecker. I have no need for all of the other offerings. I also have installed 'Clear Private Data' ..... the 'Home' button (for the main navigation bar) ---- and just uncheck the 'Personal Toolbar'.
It's great to have just one piece of software running for the internet and mail ---no need to have a separate mail program running. SeaMonkey is coded a bit different than Firefox ----- on my machine it's faster, and not as resource heavy over time as running Firefox and Thunderbird (2 very good applications!)......a consideration for older machines that aren't loaded with a lot of memory. SeaMonkey was the best for me on my old Windows Me computer.
Cons: I have no complaints with this software, however I DO have complaints with some websites that are built to see a browser instead of a Gecko based app. For example, the new 'My Yahoo' beta will not recognize SeaMonkey, but will recognize Firefox Netcape 9.0 ---- both Gecko based. The same with 'PageFlakes'.......because of sites like this, I would recommend installing the 'IE Tab' add on if this is important to you. I have written to tech about this annoyance that can be easily fixed on their end.

Version: SeaMonkey 1.1.4
Pros: While SeaMonkey's "siblings" Firefox and Thunderbird are good programs as well, I prefer the all-in-one character of SeaMonkey. It provides all functionality one needs (browser, mail, news, chat, composer) in a single application and across all major platforms. I like the new tab preview function, which gives you little snapshots of your tabs when hovering with the mouse over them, thus quite useful for orientation when keeping multiple tabs open. Also, security and privacy settings (e.g., for cookies) are much more easily accessible than in either Internet Explorer or Firefox, and can be modified on the fly.
The initial installation (version 1.0.7 at that time) and all subsequent updates were easy, no problems. Highly recommended!
Cons: The HTML composer is a bit basic, but certainly sufficient for designing a static web page.
