Publisher's description of Samstyle Visual Style Manager
This software manages your installed Visual Styles and helps you to install downloaded visual styles and uninstall visual styles from your system. Please read the readme.txt file in the zip folder for more details. Note that this version have a new layout and design. Version 3.26 has now more cool effects done with Visual Styles and has been tweaked for better performance than other versions before. Version 3.26.2640 may include Fading effects for some windows to show compatibility with visual styles. Links that have been updated on the website has also been updated on Samstyle VSM. Also have fixed the problem loading your browser. Also fixed visual error with System Stats and added some minor tweaks to improve performance.

Although this freeware program promises to help you manage and apply installed themes, its faulty performance proves otherwise.
Visual Style Manager's straightforward interface has a few simple buttons and file header menus, and a large window for previewing themes. Unlike other programs in its class (and the standard Windows XP tool), it doesn't offer any samples of preconfigured themes. Though changing themes is a breeze, you'll need to log off your computer for the new theme to take effect.
Unfortunately, although Visual Style Manager was easy to use, the selected themes failed to load in our tests. The program also has the ability to install new styles, but this feature failed to work as well. Users are better off sticking with their standard tools or looking at other, more functional apps to manage their Windows XP look.
