Russian Fountains Screensaver 3.0

Russia's imperial past has led it to many displays of urban grandeur, captured here in 40 pictures of fountains in Moscow, St. Petersburg, and elsewhere. Some of the images are quite beautiful, but both the artistic and technical qualities of the images are inconsistent. The download comes with the sound of water falling in the background, but a short loop length leaves this sounding far from realistic. The software itself offers few options, allowing users only to mute the sound and switch between a variety of transition effects. We would have greatly preferred a few additional features, such as the ability to set how often images are changed. On the whole, this screensaver could be appealing if it were free, but we think the drawbacks make it hard to justify the price tag.
