In spite of a few minor oversights, this free program works well for scheduling automated tasks. The user-friendly interface prominently displays Rs Somnifero's major features, all of which can be scheduled for certain times. For instance, you can have the program shut down your PC, lock the workstation, launch a screensaver, open a program or file, or close an application. Tasks can be automated at a designated time; after a certain number of hours, minutes, or seconds have expired; or at regular intervals. The program also lets you specify that only a certain amount of CPU power be used and displays a graphical chart of your CPU usage. Rs Somnifero' can take screenshots at periodic intervals, but since it lacks password protection, you can't use it to control how long other folks use your PC. Users who want to automate their own simple tasks will find Rs Somnifero a welcome addition because of its ease of use and lack of a price tag.Publisher's description
From Rico Software :Rs Somnifero is a shutdown manager that allows you to turn off your computer at the hour or circumstances wanted. You can carry out the actions at the selected hour, by countdown, or by CPU usage. But it doesn't only turn off your PC, it also allows you to restart it, close a session, suspend the system, hibernate, disconnect from the Internet, show alerts, and execute programs/sounds.
Version 2.6 may include unspecified updates, enhancements, or bug fixes.

Pros: Sometimes it won't turn off your computer. Most of the times when its shutting off, some of the program that you have on might want a response from you. That's why sometimes you will see a message "This program is waiting for you to respond. End Now." That message will stay there until you come back to click on "End Now." By then you would be at the other side of the world and your computer will still be on. Be careful on how you use this program.

Pros: It's very useful. I can burn and download stuff and tell it to turn off the pc at a time without having to go back on the computer to turn it off manually. Nice program.

"Uh, there are 24 hours in a day."
Pros: Interface isn't bad. Gives various options (shutdown, reboot, hibernate...etc)
Cons: Does NOT allow you to determine whether the scheduled time is for AM or PM. Without that, it's basically inefficient.

Pros: Great program to use for automation of basic events like turning off the monitor, shut down/restart the computer, start or close application at a specific time. I use it to make the computer shut down if I fall asleep watching a movie. (Well the computer doesn't shut down when I fall asleep but when the movie ends... maybe thats a feature for the next version.)
