Pros
Lots of video sources are supported, works in background - doesn't require user attention. The interface / settings are very simple.
Cons
Not free and the demo version has significant limits.
Summary
This program actually worked with most video websites that I tried. Conversion to iPod video format is much appreciated.

"Customer Service nowhere to be found."

My PC died because of a virus. I had to reinstall the operating system which generated a new system ID. Rip Tiger would not Reactivate because of the new system ID. 7 requests for support and 17 days have passed with not even an acknowledgement that my requests were received. I received no undelivered email notices. In another case I contacted them and received excellent support. Maybe this is a sign of the times.
Summary
I would definitely recommend the product but Support needs improvement in customer service. Customers make or break the product.
SoundTaxi Support Team, who are apparently affiliated with Rip Tiger Support, sent me a new activation code on January 17, 2012. They advised me that they had tried to contact me several times via email but were unable to. I appreciate the New activation code.

"The best downloader I've tried so far"

Pros
I have to download lots of online videos from various websites almost everyday. That's why I was looking for a reliable program which will support downloading from the maximum number of sites and will preserve the original video quality. I've tried lots of downloaders, both freeware and shareware, and I should say that RipTiger is the best. I've been using it for several months and so far it has been able to download videos from all sites I've needed. In addition, it's really easy to use, as it downloads videos automatically as you watch them in your browser. And of course it's very convenient that it can work as video converter too - I use this feature all the time to be able to put downloaded videos to my iPod.
Cons
Mb there are some cons, but I haven't noticed any yet.
Summary
I would definitely recommend this product for those who want to be able to download videos from a wide variety of sites easily and with really good quality.

Pros
I am not so good with computers but Riptiger is really easy to use. It supports downloading from most of the sites and can download a bunch of videos simultaneously even if you close the browser. I really enjoy using the software.

I paid good money for RipTiger and I have to fight with them for a new key anytime I update my system or change components
You get 1 install with your key - you'll be begging for a new key if you ever have to reinstall it.
I understand they don't want it portable. I only want it in one computer, I should not have to sacrifice and lose my money if I wish to reinstall. -
"Good downloader, captures video from different sites"

It's very easy to use - downloads video automatically when you open it, very convenient. I've tried it with various sites - works just fine. Video conversion option is useful for me too - converted video works great with my iPad.

It downloads video from the large list of sites w/o any problems. After download it converts files so I can use them not only on my PC.Software updates itself automatically and for free, you don't need to contact their websites for updates.

I would recommend RipTiger, it's really useful unique program. There are a lot of websites with online video and if you want to watch those videos when you have time and have no internet connection, Riptiger is all you need!

"It is great when it works."

I love the way it can rip all the videos I like. It works quite well and does what it is supposed to do.
Cons
Every time windows updated I had to remove and re-install the program and then work with it so it would work. Other than that the only minor problem I had was it downloaded EVERY video, even the ads which I had to go through and delete later.
Summary
I would recommend this program, even with the reliability problem. I quickly learned to have the download link ready so every time Windows updated or something changed on my computer, I could remove and re-install the program.
