CNET Editors' review
Context menus, often called pop-up menus, keep functionality high and clutter low in operating systems like Windows. RBSoft's Right Click Enhancer bundles five free tools for customizing context menus. My Computer Manager adds nondeleting files or folders to My Computer or the Control Panel, while Right Click Tweaker adds up to 10 entries to context menus. Send To Manager let us add new destinations to the Send To command, and Right Click Shortcuts Creator adds shortcuts to files and folders to context menus. The Right Click Cascading Menu Creator is a little bit more sophisticated than the other tools. Using it, we were able to add entire cascading submenus to our right-click menus.
Right Click Enhancer's main interface is a simple square box with five rectangular buttons accessing its menu of tools, which share similarly basic pop-up interfaces and wizardlike functionality. We started with the Right Click Tweaker, which offers 10 check boxes. We opted to add Encrypt, Administrator Command Prompt, System Configuration Utility, God Mode, and Problem Step Recorder to our Windows 7 menus. We applied the tweaks, right-clicked the desktop, and selected System Configuration Utility, which opened msconfig. Clicking God Mode opened that ultrahandy Win7/Vista feature, and so on. Next we tried the Right Clicks Shortcuts Creator, successfully adding shortcuts to various folders and files to menus. My Computer Manager and Send To Manager were also simple but effective in operation. The Right Click Cascading Menu Creator involves adding and naming a new menu, including an option to browse to and add a specific icon, to a dual-screen dialog. We clicked Add Cascading Menu and right-clicked our new menu to add or remove files or folders. When we opened the context menu, our new menus and their contents were in place.
These simple tools offer little in the way of options, and the only real help is an online tutorial. They proved much more useful and effective than we guessed. Right Click Enhancer proved a great little bundle that can customize and personalize Windows in ways few other tools can match.

"Schizophrenic"
Version: Right Click Enhancer 3.2
Pros
Some easy tweaks
Cons
Many inscrutable tweaks
Probably could destabilize system if you don't know what you're doing.
MULTIPLE ADWARE/ADDON apps during installation. go SLOWLY and read carefully. This is why AVG did not want to let me run it. I still trust CNET enough to give it a go.Summary
To get the most out of this, you would need to be a programmer or script editor of some kind. There are a few easy tweaks, but to do anything more complex, you have to understand a lot of "OS-speak," e.g. ".CM13RCMLayoutEvent(.CM13RCMLayoutEvent)." What is that?
There are also Registry items listed that would be dangerous to play with.
I find it marginally useful. -
"Helpful Utility"
Version: Right Click Enhancer 2.6.1
Pros
It can be useful for most computer users.
Cons
This is an ad-supported application and you must use a little intelligence while installing it:
It offers to change the homepage for web browsers installed in the system.
It offers to change the default search engine for web browsers installed in the system.
It offers to download or install software or components (such as browser toolbars) that is not required to fully function.Summary
Once you get over the learning curve it can be a handy tool.

"Do Not Install This Malware!!!"
Version: Right Click Enhancer 2.5.1
Pros
Absolutely none! This is malware, in my estimation.
Cons
This software requested internet connection at least 4 times during installation. It installed three extra programs during installation, including one Babylon search service that hijacked Firefox and IE. It took me a good 45 minutes to get this junk off my computer. I'm angry, and I'm very disappointed that CNET provides this software wrapped in it's own official downloader.

Pros
Quick response program. Help files include screenshots.
Cons
Although help files are available I have not yet decipered most of the context. It may get a lot easier to understand the program once I learn to follow the directions.
