Publisher's description
From MasterCobbler :This installer installs a small proxy program and corresponding shortcuts for Firefox and IE that will remove administrative rights when launching either Web browser, respectively. After installation, completely quit from the browser you are using, then launch it with the "Secure" shortcut. Now go to your favorite Web page, right click, "View Source", then try to save the corresponding HTML (imagine it is rogue code) in a sensitive area, e.g., C:Windows. You will be unable to do so.
You have just eliminated one of the biggest reasons malware finds a home on countless Windows machines. Namely, your Web browser serving as a proxy for the installation of malware by placing and/or replacing files in operating system directories. This program removes administrative rights when launching your browser. Version 0.1 includes unspecified updates.

Version: RemoveAdmin 0.1
"Great tool to arm yourself against internet malware"
Pros: This tool is very easy to use for not only internet browser's but other application requiring internet access.
-
Version: RemoveAdmin 0.1
"Simple concept - tremendous returns"
Pros: This simple install does exactly what it promises: added security for Firefox and IE browsers. If you're a power user, this adds a simple safeguard. If you're not a power-user, this product is a must-have.

Version: RemoveAdmin 0.1
Pros: I installed and am using this on Opera, but how does one know if it works, or how well? If one has no problems, is it because of this product or because one didn't encounter any of the problems it is supposed to control?
I just don't know.Cons: Nothing bad to say about it as yet.
Summary: If it works as advertised, well and good.

Version: RemoveAdmin 0.1
Pros: small footprint, powerful protection
Cons: What would be the cons?
Summary: Excellent tool for protecting your browser. I've been using it for several months now. Made it through the age of keyloggers so far unscathed.

Version: RemoveAdmin 0.1
"Legitimize your stuff before releasing it...."
Pros: Never had a chance to try what looked to be a fundamentally solid security tool.....
Cons: ... because hey!! Nobody told the developers/promoters of this one to contact "City Hall" 1st!!! :-(
Yup, that's right!! My A-V detected it as a TROJAN!!!
What the #&$^...!?!?Summary: ..... NOBODY likes to be "told off" by their resident security suites!!! And NO, I am NOT interested in all the lengthy explanations, work-arounds, etc etc...
Bottom-line...? Do your "homework" before you start publicly hosting software!!!Was this review helpful? YES | NO
