With Realtime Landscaping Plus 2013 create detailed gardens, houses, yards, decks, fencing, and much more. Realtime Landscaping Plus includes more than 10,000 objects, including 4,600 ultra-realistic plants and more than 3,000 accessories, such as lawn furniture and outdoor kitchens. Plant information includes common name, size, botanical name, and planting zones. Design over a digital photo for fast and easy before-and-after pictures. Use the included picture editor to edit imported pictures, touch up photos, or create custom plant varieties. The quality of designs created in Realtime Landscaping Plus is exceptional, including accurate lighting, shadows, outdoor fireplaces, and animated birds and butterflies. Any Windows-compatible printer can be used to print your designs. Movies can also be produces to showcase your landscape creation. I am fairly computer savvy. I spent an hour trying to set up my yard and I couldn't even add a porch. I just couldn't figure the darned thing out. It also has very limited choices for materials and plants. I am deleting it.

Plus was the first in this line of software I used. It worked great but I do a lot of pond designs so I upgraded to the Pro version.

"Bad Licensing Practice !!!!"

Pros
Does allow you to import a photo of your landscape to design on but other programs do also. It allows you to create your own plants from impored photo.
Cons
Realtime Landscape Pro version 5 does not allow a licensed reinstall. You have to call 9-5 M-F to get a new code each time you need to re-install.
Summary
Overall, it would be a reasonable program if not that you get a one time install on your computer for the price. If you need to install due to computer crash or other problems with the program, then you need to contact them for a new code. If they are still in business. I own it and the activation key they give you even has your last name in it. Yet when I went to re-install the software on my Hard drive, I now have to call for new code from idea spectrum since the code they give is a one time shot. Life expectancy for use of the software is on how long they will still be around to answer the phone. Other software for landscaping at least you if the company goes out of business you can still use the software for a few years. This one you will not be able too. They close their door's and you can close yours too even though you paid all that money. Avoid this program! If you ever get into a fix, and figure you can reinstall your LICENSED software with the registration key they send you (With your last name on it), you can not!. Plan fact, if ya have problems with your software, you need a new code to get it to work! Period
God forbid they go out of business. -

The download/trial is for a different product, Realtime Landscaping Photo. You can check out Idea Spectrum products here: http://www.ideaspectrum.com/. Still interested in seeing a trial version of the Landscaping Plus software to test the 3D capabilities. As another reviewer mentioned, the photo features are part of the Landscaping Plus software, but certainly not to decide whether the exta cost is worth the additional 3D features. There's a good video on toptenreviews.com.
