Readon Free TV and Radio Player is a basic program that gives users access to a large number of international television and radio stations. It's nothing fancy, but it does contain links to a staggering amount of content.
The program's interface is simple, with its content types--TV, radio, movies on demand, and live sports--arranged in four tabs. TV and radio stations are organized alphabetically by country and genre, and drop-down menus allow users to filter results. Users simply click on the content that they want to access, and it plays either within the player itself or in the VLC player, which must be downloaded separately. The online Help file is fairly well-done, although we wished that it opened in the user's default browser and not Internet Explorer. Readon Free TV and Radio Player is a pretty basic program, but it does have a few extra features that make it stand out among similar programs. Readon provides access to quite a bit of adult content, but it provides a password-protected filter for users who want to disallow access to it. Perhaps the program's most important feature is that it allows users to record content using VLC. This didn't work for every channel we tried, but it did for quite a few of them. We also appreciated the fact that the program contains a minimum of nonfunctioning links, something that's been a problem in similar programs we've seen.
Readon Free TV and Radio Player is free. It comes as a ZIP file and installs desktop icons without asking, but it uninstalls cleanly. We recommend this program to all users.

"This is about as good as it gets!!! TV, Movies,Adult"
Pros: Lotsa TV channels from about every country, premium content, including X rated tv. Very new movies, and lots of them, much better than pay per view. Older retro movies in all genres. This program rocks !!! AND IT'S FREE !!!
Cons: Just like regular TV and the movie theaters, all content Is not be suitable for all ages, but it can be set for family viewing. There are many many children's programs available.
Summary: Excellent choice of entertainment !!! No cable or satellite dish even comes close. The only downside I can see is the lack of some traditional and local channels. The regular tv set can be used for those. This is mainly an excellent entretainment... read more >>

"Works as described. Easy download, install & setup."
Pros: Works well out of the box. No surprises. Large selection of well categorized sources included. List updates automatically on demand. Can download plug-ins for more. Decent simple user interface. Some options for customizing and filtering content.
Cons: Lots of X rated adult content out there. Use the password protected access feature! Some advertising exposure.
