We have to preface this review by saying that RSS Content Generator Premier exists in what we consider to be an ethical gray area. We believe that if you want to improve your Web site's search engine ranking or increase its traffic, the way to do this is to provide high-quality, original content. But if you're too lazy and uncreative to do this, you can use a program like RSS Content Generator Premier to steal content from other Web sites instead.

OK, so maybe it's not technically stealing. RSS feeds exist, after all, for the purpose of syndicating online content. RSS Content Generator Premier just helps you build Web pages with that content, even if it's from established news Web sites or strangers' blogs. The program is fairly easy to use, although the interface could stand to be a little more intuitive. There is a wizard mode that does most of the work for you when it comes to configuring RSS feeds and choosing a format for the resulting Web page--several templates are available, none of which are particularly attractive--but some parts of the process weren't as clear as they could have been. We also wished that the built-in Help file had been a bit more detailed. The program doesn't have much in the way of impressive features, but we did like its preview options and the fact that it has a built-in FTP client, allowing users to automatically upload their Web pages to their server. Overall, the program works just fine, but nothing about it really thrilled us.

RSS Content Generator has a 30-day trial period. It installs politely but leaves a folder behind upon removal. We recommend this program to all users.
