Though it's a step up from Notepad, there are some flaws with this program. Qwikpad docks on the right-screen edge for easy access. You can type or draw anywhere on the Notepad-style interface and, if you have a microphone, even create and add audio files to your notes. The ability to drag and drop items into Qwikpad doesn't always work as promised, especially with images. Formatting options are fairly limited, and you may lose the layout of copied items. You only can save to a file type associated with the program, and there aren't any tools to organize your notes. There's a simple alarm feature with audio or message-box reminder options. If you just want a bit more flexibility than the Notepad offers, you might find this program worth a try.Publisher's description
From Seeplain :Just the thing for Web research, when you copy from the Web see the Web Address (URL) copied in automatically simply just Drag&Drop saving you undue time and effort. Take Screen Clippings of any size you want, why use PrintScreen when you can define exactly the area that you need. Capture all your different pieces of information instantly and have it all at your fingertips. With Qwikpad use just 1-click to slide the Qwikpad window open, enter or Drag&Drop your information and then neatly hide it away, leaving your desktop neat and tidy. No need to have sticky notes (real or virtual) all over your desktop. Get rid of the mess have all that you need in one place and never worry again about how to capture things on the fly. Type and draw anywhere just like pen and paper with no lines or cells to restrict you, so entering information is even quicker and a lot more natural. Set Alarms to remind you of that appointment or birthday and even record Audio.

Version: Qwikpad 2.1
"Dead Easy to use !! Hide and Show feature is really COOL"
Pros: QwikPad is dead easy to use just slides out when you need it, but doesn?t fill up the desktop with notes and awkward windows, like some ?post-it? style programs.

Version: Qwikpad 2.1
"Great for Quick Capture of Info and No Clutter on your desktop"
Pros: QwikPad is simple but effective. I can drag and drop from almost any program into a single document, the data capture is the closest to pen and paper I?ve ever used. I love the ability to easily capture screenshots and then comment them with text and scribble.
Cons: I'd like to see maybe a PDA version of this soon..
