This application makes it quick and easy to open a collection of user-specified programs and documents, but defective desktop shortcuts spoil its performance.

While Quick Runs drab interface doesn't look like much, its easy enough to operate. It provides a browser that lets you add documents and programs to your Start list, though drag-and-drop capabilities would have been nice. You'll be able to open your documents using desktop shortcuts created by the program. During testing, Quick Run automatically launched documents and programs by our specified time intervals. We created a couple of Start lists and desktop shortcuts to quickly launch them; however, our testers noticed that the program used only one filename for all of the shortcuts. Also, Quick Run kept opening the first Start list that we created, regardless of which desktop shortcut we launched.

On another negative note, it lacks some convenient features found in comparable programs, such as the ability to launch Web pages, organize documents into groups, and open files using hot keys. Overall, we can't recommend a program that still has a few kinks to work out.
