From Sugar Cube Software:Pic2Icon is a program that creates beautiful 128x128 Mac OS X icons for your pictures. Simply drop pictures or folders full of pictures onto the application and it will start creating icons. These icons will be applied to the pictures, so you can browse through them in the finder and you will be able to identify them without having to open them! Hopefully, Mac OS X will some day do this without a third party add-on.

Pros: Great that an app still works after several years of O S's passing through.
Does exactly what it says it does.

Pros: Free! Works as advertised! Best feature is it adds transparency to icons if the .psd file you created includes transparency.
Cons: This is not an image editor like some of the icon creation tools you can pay for. You need an image creation app like Photoshop.

Summary: This is a great tool. It makes finding a specific picture so much easier in a large folder with a thumbnail of the picture instead of .gif or .jpeg icon. Best of all it's free and there is no nagging registration required.
