Emailing large attachments has never been easy, but this new app combines P2P tech with a clean interface to make sharing files or folders up to 1 GB a cinch.
Circumventing FTP servers, online storage and tertiary email accounts, Pando generates either a link for instant messages and web pages or emails your recipient a tiny attachment. When you click on that attachment or link, Pando connects to its server and downloads the "package," as the Pando people call the contents of your attachment. You even have 14 days to grab the "package" before it gets deleted from their server.
The uncluttered interface uses drag-and-drop browsing to prepare your package. You don't have to wait for the user to install the app: a recipient without Pando gets taken on a step-by-step set up that ends with downloading the package. Packages can be forwarded before the download or upload process is complete -- a smart feature, given varying connection speeds. (It took us only a few minutes to grab a 75 MB package.) Other useful features include support for multiple addressees, Yahoo and Outlook plug-ins that automatically Pando-ize attachments, and a record of how many times your package has been downloaded.
Easy to use, Pando could drastically change how files are transferred between small groups of people.
Publisher's description
From Pando Networks :Have you ever tried to email a file and couldn't because it was just too large? Completely free and simple to use, Pando lets you bypass email attachment limits. No more sending lower-quality videos or photos. Forget FTP and don't even compress. With Pando, you can send up to 1GB attachments at a time--not just files but folders, too. Pando also conveniently uses existing e-mail addresses--because we know the last thing you need is another place to check for incoming files. Version 1.0.0.2 allows Pando users to embed and distribute 1GB files for free in any Web site including MySpace, Facebook, Blogger, WordPress, Typepad, Xanga and LiveJournal. It also features password-protected files and the ability to include links in IM messages.

Version: Pando 1.0.0.2
Pros: Does what it says on the package. Easy to use interface. Upload rate on a 4mb connection is about 50kbs per second which isn't too bad. Can send to any email address or publish to the web.
Cons: The mail receiver must have Pando installed to download the attachment.

Version: Pando 1.0.0.2
Pros: Does what it says, but you could also watch grass grow.
Cons: It's a son of a gun to delete, it will interfere with your start-up program and will not take "NO" for an answer.
Cant recommend it.

Version: Pando 1.0.0.2
Pros: As for what is better about it? It allows up to 1GB sending possibility. As for 'yousendit', only 100mb. Pando is nothing great, but I do like the 1gig ability.
Cons: I haven't found any in a short and limited use.

Version: Pando 1.0.0.2
"In concept good. In reality poor function and reliability."
Pros: I liked the hype about it and the claims as to what it says it can do.
Cons: It doesn't deliver what it says it does. Uploads take forever and 2 out of 3 times they fail. It promises fast delivery of large attachments when in reality it's slower than molasses and ultimate delivery rates are stacked against the user.I have a dual core processor with more space than an inland sea and this program failed miserably. A major waste of time and hard to remove from your computer too.

Version: Pando 1.0.0.2
Pros: This program gave me the ability to send almost everything to everyone else. I like the one gig ability, and the clean user interface.
Cons: no more ads, and compatibility with outlook express and mozilla thunderbird
