This application makes the process of extracting icons from numerous file types a relatively painless affair. PC Icon Extractor is very easy to use, and its straightforward, clean interface sets it worlds apart from more cumbersome titles in its category. It takes only four steps to go from a file to an extracted icon image, which can be saved in formats such as GIF, PNG, and JPEG. One nice touch we discovered during testing is PC Icon Extractor automatically scans all subfolders in your source folder, allowing you the one-step convenience of batch editing resulting files. While this trick unfortunately doesn't let you set a custom size for each icon, you can configure the program to automatically save images in different sizes and color depths. The trial version places a watermark on all extracted icons, so you ll probably have to buy it if you want to put it to any real-world use. Nevertheless, anyone who needs this type of functionality should at least put this one on their list of applications to test-drive.Publisher's description

It gives you the option either to extract from a specific file or folder. PC Icon Extractor can completely support XP Alpha Channel icons, now you can easily extract wonderful semitransparent icons. Ability to change color resolution, size, background color (transparently, predefined, or user define) to create customized icons. Define JPEG quality and TIFF compression; and also ability to define icons and images position.
