Opera 9.2 introduces Speed Dial which vastly improves navigation to your favorite sites. There's also Fraud protection, an anti-phishing detection keeps browsing safe and secure. Other unique features include innovative widgets and a strong pop-up blocker. Tabbed browsing and saved sessions further increase browsing efficiency. You can also add your favorite search engines to the search bar and use beautiful skins to personalize your browser.

Version 9.21 adds a shortcut for searching Yahoo Answers and fixes a a buffer overflow bug with malformed torrents, among other fixes and changes.

The premise of Opera has always been the same--develop the fastest, smallest, and most full-featured browser available--and the latest version maintains the tradition. Opera has all the basics covered, including tabbed browsing with an added functionality that lets you hover over a tab to preview a page; a search bar with Google and several other popular portals; advanced bookmarking tools, including one that lets you easily import from any popular browser; and simple integration with your favorite e-mail and chat clients. Mouse-gesture support, keyboard shortcuts, and drag-and-drop functionality further enhance your surfing experience.

With solid basics, Opera's extra features push it to the top of the class. Integrated theme support lets you preview and download themes from within the interface so you know what you're getting before you download. Widgets (akin to Mac OS X dashboard applications) are small, useful programs that appear in a window from any app while Opera is running. The Wand utility helps you autofill online forms and lets you securely save passwords for multiple sites. We really like the addition of BitTorrent support, letting you drop a Torrent link into the address bar and begin a file transfer immediately without the need for an extra app. Overall, we think Opera might have what it takes to unseat even the biggest-name browsers if users give it the opportunity. Opera is a must-download for those looking for a full-featured browser with added extras.

  "Great browser, but poor printing"

  Pros: It is very user-friendly and seems quicker than IE7

  Cons: No browser I've found can print from a web page better than IE7 (IE6 and lower did a horrible job, but it was fixed with IE7). Opera butchered the pages when I tried to print, just like the others. If Opera had a good print function similar to IE7, I would switch to Opera.

  "Pretty good, but not that good"

  Pros: Opera has a lot of great features, like countless useful widgets. The interface is clean and nice looking and if I want something I can grab themes extremely easily.

  Cons: I found it to be slower than other browsers like Safari and Firefox. Perhaps its the way it loads pages, but it just seems sluggish to me. Overall it's pretty good, but probably not my first choice.
