Feeling jealous of that slick Mac interface? Check out ObjectDock, a free utility that replaces the Windows Taskbar with a colorful, animated dock like the one in Mac OS X. ObjectDock displays icons for currently running applications and also can hold quick-launch icons for your favorite programs. As you pass the cursor over each icon, ObjectDock magnifies it and displays relevant information, helping you find what you need even when you're running several programs at once. An attractive clock rounds out the toolbar. The tiny utility comes with a dozen attractive skins, and users with slow computers can dial down the animation quality to increase speed. There is one major drawback: the lack of a system tray. But if you're dissatisfied with the Windows Taskbar or just want to spice up your Desktop, ObjectDock makes a very good choice.Publisher's description
From Stardock :ObjectDock acts both as a task manager and a program launcher. Users can customize the look of each item on the dock and set various animation options for when the mouse rolls over an item on the dock. The program is very easy to configure. Version 1.3 supports reserving screen space for itself and countless other new features.

Version: ObjectDock 1.3
"Major Improvement over last time."
Pros: Easy to use program, smooth transitions, the new ability to adjust the smooth transitions for your computer, and many bug fixes. (Even the icon problem.) Works fine on a 128 video card and 512 Ram. I recommend you give it a try.
Cons: A few speed issues. Even though it is smooth for me 99% of the time, it gets these moments where it seems to act slow and laggy. But nothing a rollover or two won't fix.
One annoying bug is still in there: sometimes when you pull an icon off of the dock, the dock freezes for about 5 seconds then closes. This happened to me only twice in 3 months of use, but is a serious annoyance when it happens. But like I said, it's rare. Give this program a try. If you hate it, get rid of it. But I love it!

Pros: Fun to fool around with and great eye candy to show off with your friends.
Cons: Well it uses a bit of ram but it can be adjusted to use less by taking off a few effects.

Version: ObjectDock 1.3
"Good if you miss your Apple."
Pros: Does a good job imitating an Apple taskbar. Nice customization features and free.
Cons: Hard to disable completely...you have to put it on autohide and remove both seperaters to do so.

Version: ObjectDock 1.3
Pros: It truly is customizable, if you know how to play around and review features. The Dock makes accessing applications so convenient that I feel highly frustrated when I use others' computers and run my cursor to the top of the screen to access a program and find that the dock doesn't show up!
O yeah--to remove titles/headings under the items on the dock, right click over the item, select "dock item properties," and where it says "title" just delete the title. Voila.
