This free utility replaces the Windows Taskbar, finding a better way to access shortcuts. ObjectDock displays the icons of the currently running applications so you can quickly switch among them. It also holds icons that launch your favorite programs. The application magnifies the icons and displays the window title as your cursor passes over it, which helps you find what you need even when you're running numerous applications at once. An attractive clock rounds out the toolbar, rendering the standard Windows Taskbar obsolete. The tiny utility offers a dozen attractive skins. The program also features options for slow computers that degrade animation quality to save resources. The program does lack a system tray, and uninstalling it left a number of files. ObjectDock will appeal to users who are bored with the standard Taskbar.Publisher's description
From Stardock :ObjectDock acts both as a task manager and a program launcher. Users can customize the look of each item on the dock and set various animation options for when the mouse rolls over an item on the dock. The program is very easy to configure.

Version: ObjectDock 1.1
"Great! Have you ever tried Macintosh?!"
Pros: It is fully customizable for such a small program, and you can put it anywhere on your screen and make it any size you want. You can also load it with as many programs as you want! It looks like an ibook's, but it is for xp. I have been waiting for this exact thing for a long time and I finally found it!
Cons: Every so often, if you put in in autohide mode, which you don't have to, and you make it stay on top of other windows, which you also don't have to, then... if you are trying to close a window that you place near the center of the screen, sometimes it pops up on accident. That is only one little "flaw" that isn't even really a flaw!

Version: ObjectDock 1.1
Pros: Integrated itself smoothly with my OS, and it runs just as advertised!!! It's given me a slick new animated look that I was always envious of when using my buddies iMac. It's a toy, and you don't need to have it, but don't we all love toys?
