Use Nodescan to chat, send instant messages (with attachments and URL links), upload and download files, and search while listening to music streamed from the server in the background. It consists of separate server and client applications providing a platform for a variety of network services. Nodescan servers can be set up inside your local network keeping internal communications internal. Individuals can retain control of their communications by running their own server.

What's new in this version: Nodescan Server

  • Rewrote XMPP Server to confirm with XEP-0077 (In-Band Registration) specification.
  • Subscription requests and presence updates are sent and received mostly in accordance with the Extensible Messaging and Presence Protocol (rfc 3921)
  • Can see which users are logged in
  • Updated graphics
  • Changed application file type from jar to .exe
