Publisher's description of Need for Speed Carbon demo
From EA Games:What starts in the city is settled in the canyons as Need for Speed Carbon immerses you into the world's most dangerous and adrenaline-filled form of street racing. You and your crew must race in an all-out war for the city, risking everything to take over your rivals' neighborhoods one block at a time. As the police turn up the heat, the battle ultimately shifts to Carbon Canyon, where territories and reputations can be lost on every perilous curve. - Version reviewed: Need for Speed Carbon demo
Though the graphics look better than ever, Need for Speed Carbon seems like a throwback to the early days of the series, when we spent most of our time outracing cops in the desert. The racing action is as fast and furious as ever, and this edition incorporates both city and canyon racing for a variety of thrills and spills. The download is large and the installation lengthy, but the provided content offers an excellent trial of the full version. Customize one of three cars--Chevy Camaro SS, Lamborghini Gallardo, or Mitsubishi Lancer Evolution IX, in Muscle, Tuner, and Exotic classes, respectively--with the AutoSculpt feature, then take to the city streets with two races to claim territories as your own and unlock a two-car duel along the canyon.
After a brief disclaimer from digitized model Emmanuelle Vaugier and a reminder to always wear your seatbelt, you're transported to the car-selection screen, where you pick your weapon, tweak it as you see fit, then take it into battle. The Circuit Race pits you and three teammates against four of the Scorpions. If anyone on your team finishes first, you win. The Drift Race forces you into many tight curves that require drifting. The more curves you drift through, the more points you earn. The last, unlockable race along the canyon starts in medias res, as you must follow a Scorpion car tightly, then lose him when you take the lead. There's not enough here to keep anyone driving forever, but there's still plenty of fun to be had with this well-produced demo.

"The shape of things to come!"
Pros: need for speed carbon is another excellent addition to the need for speed series, and electronic arts have not let us down
the first improvement i noticed was the added cinematic effects which are briiliantly morphed from video into game
graphics are brilliant with e.a utelizing all the effects the latest 3d cxards can deleiver,i played this game on a radeon 9250 the on a geforce 6600gt,and on both cards the game was playable but the experience was far more realistic on the 6600,were the 9250 was something similar to a playstation 2
handling is impressive, and audio gets 10/10
on the whole need for speed carbon is a brilliantly crafted game that is a welcome addition to any p.c

Version: Need for Speed Carbon demo
Pros: O my god! What a disappointment! I thought Carbon was going to be 1000 better than Most Wanted. But no Most Wanted is The Game while Carbon is just a big real disappointment. Carbon is the game that deserves to be bought on a Pirate shop, played for 5 minutes and erased.
I recommend not to buy it and actually if you can stand your curiosity, dont even play it. Youll get the real unpleasant Disappointment

Pros: The Graphics are insane when playing on the PC. (Make sure you crank everything up to the max if your computer is powerful enough)
The Detail is extraordianary....and the games load in an instant. The Graphics capabilites are insane....blowing up a gas station....really cool....It's one of the best games I've played. It's a lot like NFS Most Wanted...but....the cops are a lot smarter here.....and this game does take longer to complete (which...in my opinion is a good thing)
I haven't tried the Demo yet...because I have the full version...but...on here....it's really worth the $40. You also get the Bounus DVD which does include some special features, behind the scenes footage...how the game was made...and stuff like that. Along with some extra cool cars too.
Cons: So far, I really like the game. I haven't found anything wrong with it.
