Carry 40 easily invoked Windows system tweaks on your U3-enabled USB drive with this handy freeware tool. NT Registry Tweaker's multitabled interface uses simple check boxes and a trio of function buttons to set or remove Windows tweaks. This version of the app easily installs with just a click on any U3-enabled flash drive.

NT Registry Tweaker couldn't be easier to use. Simply select any or all of the 40 system tweaks and press Apply. Tweaks are displayed by type; 10 each for Performance, Explorer, Internet, and Security. Improving your system with the Performance tweaks depends greatly on your current configuration. The app helpfully includes an option to set recommended values per tab. It was most helpful with the Performance tab, but most other tweaks were a matter of personal preference. The Explorer tab's tweaks control display of many IE functions. The Internet tweaks control Internet Explorer options most novices couldn't easily set. The Security tab merely disables 10 applets and functions to block some users from altering system settings.

NT Registry Tweaker doesn't include detailed explanations about the tweaks. Trusting novice users may find the program's recommended values helpful, but expert users will appreciate the ease and speed of invoking the tweaks.
