The MySQL database server in a Mac OS X package. Some additional configuration is required, please follow the instructions at http://www.entropy.ch/software/macosx/mysql/. There is also a StartupItem available which will start the server whenever the system boots.

What's new in this version: This is a minor update from 3.23.43 to 3.23.44. Note that the directory layout has been changed in version 3.23.43 of the package at the request of the MySQL developers, so you'll need to do some cleanup if you update from any version before 3.23.43. Please read the instructions regarding this on my site very carefully. This has only been tested on Mac OS X 10.1.
