Multilingual Speaking Clock offers users an opportunity to hear the time in practically any language. This simple-to-operate program will not disappoint users looking for a basic timepiece in their native tongue.
This freeware download could not be more straightforward. It is seen as a simple digital clock with black numbers on a gray background that winds up every second of the day. Users find five buttons at the bottom of the clock for Alarm, Settings, Options, Help, and Spoken Time. The clock comes with four options of voices: American English spoken by a male, American English spoken by a female, French spoken by a male, and German by a female. Each is clear and distinct and accurately tells the time. Dozens of other languages are available for quick download on the company's Web site.
In addition, the alarm setting is simple, easy-to-set and accurate. The Settings and Options buttons provide users with opportunities to customize the look and function of the clock right down to the voice's volume.
Multilingual Speaking Clock is a fantastic download for anyone seeking out a vocal way to tell time. With easy-to-use controls, crisp speaking voices, and a fine clock face, this is a top choice for anyone looking for a speaking clock.

"Perfect, Simple System Tray Speaking Alarm Clock"
Pros: Unobtrusive, Simple, Elegant
I set up to say aloud the time on the hour and it has helped me stop losing track of time when I become immersed on the computer as well as daily alarm just like a physical clockCons: None for my purposes
Summary: It does it one thing, a simple talking alarm clock and it does it well.

Cons: So far it has behaved well so I have no comment about anything being wrong with it.
Summary: This is a fun widget to have. I have another that shows time under the cursor so now I'm well set for time keepers. Thanks again.

Version: Multilingual Speaking Clock 2.6
Pros: Fun. Nifty. Very helpful when I want to keep track of my time when working on a project. I set it for every 15 minutes, which may be a bit excessive. But that's what I like about it: versatility.
Cons: Would like the option of a visual time announcement when I'm recording something. Nothing more annoying than nearing the end of a recording and hearing "The time is now 12:15 pm" mixed into the recording! Also, need more voice options/languages.
Summary: It's free so I can't complain too much.

"Cute 'lil bug.. I used it every day."
Pros: Free utility that talks in many languages.. check the updated version, it now has Spanish, both European and South American (male voices) and Norwegian (young female voice) as well as thirty other voices from Afrikaans to Turkish...
Cons: The voices are a bit metallic.. As far as the sys tray clock goes, all you have to do is click on properties (on the opened task bar) click on the notification area of taskbar/start menu prop. (windows vista) and uncheck the clock under system icons.
Summary: Let me tell you, the freebie is fine but for those who love to pittle, the deluxe is the way to go.. This one is very affordable and it can actually talk to you (via the speech synthesis options in languages and modes of the announce section) and ha... read more >>
