"nonfunctioning, sloppy pain-in-the-neck"
Version: Mobileplay for PocketPC 1
Pros
I'm really surprised at how few options are out there to get movie listings on your PPC, short of just using PIE to find them online. I was so excited when I found this software -- not only did it do movie listings, but it also had a ton of other content options, a simple-looking interface, and it's free!
Cons
And then I installed it. Selecting my content options was needlessly complicated but not more than annoying. After my sync completed, I eagerly tabbed to the home screen to start checking movie times -- only to find it blank. Google turned up Mobileplay's help site, which hidden in tiny print way down at the bottom informed me that the program had to be installed on main memory. Now they tell me. Uninstalled, reinstalled, chose content, synced, tabbed home: blank again. My content stubbornly refused to show itself. I gave up. Uninstalling for good left me with a rash of dlls and database files that required MemMaid to scrape off my Axim.
Bottom line, this is a poorly-functioning, sloppy pain-in-the neck. But doesn't it look like a nice little program? That's what the next-door neighbors always say about serial killers, too.

"A great alternative for content"

I just downloaded this about an hour ago. I have been a long time Avant Go user, but after time I just wanted something new. Something with good content, not just free blogs..
Mobileplay surprised me. I found that I can get Gawker and Flavorpill! My two favs when it comes to things to read..
Exciting things to come I am sure.. I can't wait for v2!
