These programs have a fantastic user interface. All you have to do is pick what you want to design (Icon, cursor, animated cursor), design, and save. The rest is allready done. You can also add transparency.
Cons
Dont add too many icon sizes in xp color, as it crashes.

After installing Vista, I searched for an icon editor to create Vista icons and found Microangelo. Installed both the 64 bit on my PC, and the 32 bit on my laptop. Very stable. I was creating great-looking icons minutes after installing this 5 star program. Top notch software!!

Didn't have a chance to find any pros

Used the program for about 10 mins. It crased 4 times. After the 4th crash I removed the program. I was using a new ( 6 mos old) HP notebook, Turion CPU, XP Pro, 1 Gig RAM.
