Malwarebytes Anti-Malware is a surprisingly effective freeware antimalware tool. It's a relatively speedy malware remover, with the quick scan taking about 8 minutes even with other high-resource programs running. The heuristics engine proved on multiple computers during empirical testing that it was capable of determining the difference between false positives and dangerous apps.
The app has some nice features rolled in, too. It supports multiple drive scanning including networked drives, context menu options including a scan-on-demand for individual files, and the FileAssassin option under the More Tools section for removing locked files. The interface is simple, but pleasant-looking and well-organized. Tabs live just below the oversized logo, with few options per tab to keep down the clutter. The installation process was fast enough, but interestingly offered up the well-kept changelog and an instant definition file update.
Do note that the real-time protection is restricted to the paid version, as is the scheduler for updates and scans. Overall, though, Malwarebytes Anti-Malware is a responsive malware remover that does what it should with a minimum of fuss.

It Works! My computer almost was at a stand still from spyware, adware. Malware cleaned it up and now the computer works great. Save me many dollars having to have my tech guy come in to clean it up.
Cons
for some reason in order to get an update I have to redownload the program. I am guessing it is because I am using the free version.

Very very very high memory consumption(Ver.1.50). Slow UI startup.Support could have been better.Classic user interface.HTML help doesn't has enough details.

This product serves very good. But if you don't have high memory(RAM)(Alteast 1GB),don't even think of this product.Detection rates are very very accurate.I recommend Malwarebytes' AntiMalware.

I presume it is doing its job like everyone says. It hasn't found anything significant for me so far, but it does block unwanted sites from accessing my computer too.
Cons
When a fresh version is installed it creates a malware file by itself and then finds it just to impress you. It installed the dll file for NoAdware in a Program folder, then detected it and quarantined. (Didn't install entire NoAdware, just one file)

MalwareBytes does the job for me.Never let me down and it never will.I have the payed for version.Its the same as the free version.Only difference the payed version has REAL time scanning.I have been computing for near on 20 years and this is the best piece of defense I have ever used.It also updates daily.
