CNET Editors' review
This puzzler spices up the staid "action" of the ancient tile-based game with a threadbare story line, cartoon graphics, and three modes. The result is a game that will both attract players not normally inclined toward mah-jongg and satisfy veterans who have tired of uninspiring titles with only a few layouts.
Unfortunately, the trial is limited to 60 minutes, so you'll only be able to get through about 10 layouts in the Quest mode--15 if you're industrious. Just as you're about to restore the ox's temple completely: BZZZZ! The two other modes, Classic and Puzzle, offer 88 and 80 original layouts respectively, and each mode includes five ways to play. Classic, Speed, Scramble, Memory, and Ghost all alter the way tiles can be matched or displayed. The graphics are low-res cartoons, but they're fun and well-rendered. We had great fun following Kwazi on the adventure to save her village (especially meeting that rat with the natty necktie), but we're sad the journey had to end so soon.
