The Magical Jelly Bean Keyfinder is a freeware utility that retrieves your Product Key (cd key) used to install windows from your registry. It has the options to copy the key to clipboard, save it to a text file, or print it for safekeeping.
It works on Windows 95, 98, ME, NT4, 2000, XP, Server 2003, Office 97, and Office XP. This version is a quick update to make it work with Windows Server 200

Very useful tool, nice and compact, bug free.
Finds the registry entry and reports the value.
You can even add your own key entries in the cfg file for other apps.Cons
One more tweakTool to have.

Easy to use.
Saves keys as .txt file.
Can read non-bootable drives.Cons
I didn't have any issues with this product.
Summary
I was able to read the product keys for Win Vista and two versions of MS office from my corrupt HDD, so I could reinstall from scratch. (I installed bad HDD as a slave in a bootable machine and pointed Jelly Bean to the user.dat file).

Had to retrieve product key on my mother's computer who lives a half hour away. She is disabled and could not turn the system unit around to read the sticker. It's a handy tool, and easy to use.
Cons
Not useful if what it retrieves is a product key that has already been corrupted. That's what happened in my case.

this utility does exactly what it advertises: it retrieves product keys for windows. There is no bloat, no install, only what it needs to work. Just click the executable and it gives you the key. Best of all, it's free!

May register a false positive on some antivirus suites.

There's not even an installation, just click the exe and receive copy and pastable product keys.
Cons
There's no cons to it as it does what it is supposed to do and costs nothing. It would be nice if it could do ever app installed though
Summary
Since not everyone is organised enough to keep copies of their license codes, then this is great for rebuilding those people's machines. Since retrieving these encrypted codes yourself from a registry is out of most people's circle or abilities, then this product does exactly what it's supposed to do does a perfectly good job. Plus it is free and leaves no footprint on the machine.
