MagicJack is a inexpensive VOIP phone service - but its user interface gets annoying. I made this program to block (keep minimized) the magicJack popup window and regain control of my Desktop. magicBlock doesn't interfere with the usage of magicJack - it just stops the popup window from disrupting whatever the phone is activated. When magicBlock is enabled, the sparse functions offered by the magicJack window are still available by right-clicking over it's tray icon (the little icon by the clock). The installation program will add this program to your Startup folder so it automatically runs when you start your computer.
Version 1.2 include ability to retain focus on current window after MagicJack popup occurs.

A dialogue still appears to answer or not. Now Magic Block itself pulls you out of full screen mode to tell you the MagicJack popup was blocked. What s the point of that? Now I need a Magic Block block. It's like a bad joke.

It did what it said it would do. It blocked MagicJack from popping up. It's free.

In Win 7 if I'm in one app and then click on another one in the task bar, the icon of the one I was just in blinks. Annoying. Also, if I want to access the MagicJack control and therefore try to exit MagicBlock, MagicBlock hangs.

It works okay, but does annoying things. I've had better luck with MagicSilence, which is a paid program, but inexpensive.

I would recommend this to anyone that wants to keep the annoying MJ window from popping up when a call comes in. After installing MagicBlock, I had to restart the MJ program. After that the popup was stopped.

Unstable when attempting to unblock MagicJack popup window. Freezes and I have to restart both magicBlock and magicJack.

Honestly it worked better than I expected, but upon upgrading to windows 7 64 bit alas I am plagued with Magic Jacks annoying in your face pop up screen.

No Win 7 support, Please make an update bud! And really, come on MJ, I got a 6 year membership, do you really gotta put an ad in my face every time I get or make a Call? Some of us have what's called a Media server, not a MJ Ad server.... Sheesh!

I love the product, I beg the author to please release an updated version, MJ is trying to drive me insane! I loved watching video's on Hulu, Netflix, Etc back when Magic block worked on my system but now with MJ feeling the need to minimize whatever I am watching to thrust their annoying window in my face.
