This plug-in greatly enhances Windows Explorer file manipulation methods, but requires novices to study the help file. This application has no interface as it is a plug-in for Windows Explorer. Magenta Extensions 2002 provides four additional functions that display upon right-clicking a file. Users easily run executables with the option of setting additional parameters. The Select Files and Folders feature simplifies selecting files that contain the same characteristics out of a large collection of mixed files. What we really like about this plug-in is its capability to instantly rename files based on character strings. Unlike Windows, Magenta Extensions 2002 can selectively print folder content lists or create an HTML format list of links of files. While all level users would benefit from this application, advanced users will find they turn to it often.Publisher's description

Version: Magenta Extensions 2002 1
"software looks OK, but WEB site is awful-can't activate or buy"
Pros: I downloaded this because it seemed to be an enhancement to Windows Explorer. Anything I can right-click instead of opening a new program would peak my interest. The free download would not print out the entire folder, so I was actually willing to buy it without testing it.
Interface seemed easy and it looked like it would meet my needs. See cons.
Cons: All I really wanted was to be able to rename files and print a list of files in a directory easily. When prompted to "activate" or buy, I dutifully went to the WEB site to do so. What a mess-I apparently got to their home page and had to search for the right software. Then I was asked to call the company, etc. etc. I suppose I could have figured it out, but there are too many alternatives out there--unless you LOVE this software, it's not worth the time needed to buy it. Do they really want to sell this product??

Version: Magenta Extensions 2002 1
Pros: While the software looks interesting, its severe limitations unless it is registered makes it virtually worthless.
Cons: You can only print and save 1/2 of the files in a directory.

Summary: Once you install Extensions, take a look at User's manual found in program's group. We felt to make this comment because notice that most of negative user reviews has to do with usage misunderstanding. Extensions are not a standalone application whi... read more >>

Version: Magenta Extensions 2002 1
Summary: There is no sense in downloading the trial version.....it is worthless. You cannot print anything without a "trial version" notice printing in the middle of the page. Hard to navigate. Basically, I wouldn't even pay for the software
