This screensaver turns your monitor into an impressive pyrotechnic display that hearkens to real life. The launch, explosion, and decay of the fireworks are quite realistic, as are the sound effects. Like any good fireworks show, MBSS Fireworks has plenty of color. Customization options are divided into sections for Hue Cones and Hue Dynamics. The specific settings of each panel are very technical, letting you tweak parameters such as hue brightness bias, vertical gravity, and atmospheric damping. Those without a lot of mathematical knowledge will probably just want to fool around until they find something the like, though the default settings make for an entertaining spectacle in their own right. MBSS Fireworks displays a small nag screen, but it's not obtrusive enough to ruin the fun. Although this application will be most suitable around Independence Day, folks who are really fascinated with pyrotechnics will enjoy it year round.Publisher's description

Version: MBSS Fireworks 2.2
"One of the best screen savers I have ever down loaded!"
Pros: The annimations are wonderfully real and beatiful. The variety of star clusters is amazaing and I must admit it is very relaxing to watch. My family can't walk by the screen without stopping to watch for a few moments. I have gladly paid the 15.00 fey to register this product.
Cons: The interface at first appears to be diffcult to use. It does take time but play with it and you will find many new variations that can be created. I prefer the default setting.

Version: MBSS Fireworks 2.2
"Won't recognize DirectX on Vista"
Pros: Unfortunately, I can't tell you if it's cool or not.
Cons: The program cannot find DirectX and won't run. Just in case, I downloaded the latest version (10.0) and it says it needs 7.0 or better, but no go. So if you're like me and have a new system with the horrors of Vista, you're SOL.

Pros: none....couldn't get it to run
Cons: I run a Vista Business OS, and this software doesn't recognize my DirectX. I reinstalled, and the same crap happens.....would have liked to see what this screen saver looked like...but I guess I never will.
Summary: No features or functionallity to comment on...crap wouldn't work
